About Tomoko
Tomoko is the visionary owner, chef, and tea party cordinator of The Afternoon Tea Club By Tomoko. With culinary degree earned in Baltimore, Maryland, she began her distinguished career at The Inter-continental Hotel Yokohama in Japan, where she mastered the intricate arts of professional baking and global cuisine. Upon returning to U.S. in 2001, she spent over two decades refining her craft in Cincinnati’s premier country clubs, restaurants, catering buisinesses as well as serving as a private chef. Most recently, she served as a First Japanese Woman Excecutive Chef for a prestigious private membership club in downtown Cincinnati, where she worked for 15years. In 2023, Tomoko transitioned from the corporate kitchen to pursue her life long dream of entrepreneurship while supporting her family. Tomoko combines her passion for food with her love for fine arts, drawing inspiration from painting, music, and travel to create unforgettable tea experiences. When she is’nt in the kithen, she enjoys life with her rescued dog and her two beloved groundchildren.
